Week 16: Look Out Below

Meteor showers are amazing! I saw my first one this Sunday night.

If it weren't for internet access, we wouldn't even have known to look up to the sky. Ran across the article on Lifehacker and the fam was all excited. So, come night time, we pulled furniture onto the porch, wrapped ourselves in blankets and looked up.

It wasn't a heavy shower, we saw only 10 or so during the hour we were out there. But the ones we saw were impressive. Streaking across the sky, appearing and disappearing as if by magic. I can see how ancient people would have accepted such heavenly events as supernatural; it certainly didn't feel "natural" to me.
